COVID-19 UPDATE: SALES AND PRODUCTION ARE RUNNING AT FULL SPEED

After the new year began, in reaction to an increase in new coronavirus infections, Switzerland also had to impose a partial lockdown. This has had a positive effect and starting in March, restrictions will gradually be relaxed. At the same time, Switzerland has started a broad-based vaccination campaign, which should also have a positive impact on the pandemic fight.

Normal operations at Otto Hofstetter

During the entire period, neither production, aftersales nor sales were affected by the precautionary measures. All projects proceeded on schedule, according to the agreed deadlines. The only really limiting restriction was the travel ban for our sales team and technical support specialists. Thanks to first-class options for remote meetings and online support sessions, no customers went without direct and rapid contact with our people. Since international travel will probably only be possible in individual cases in the coming months, these communication tools will be continuously optimized and expanded.

New developments 

The unrestricted freedom of action we have enjoyed in the past weeks and months, travel excepted, have enabled us to restructure our organization, to build up a new area of expertise and to make our latest innovation in PET preform molds ready for the market. These side-entry molds have all the well-known technical properties of every mold we make by Otto Hofstetter. You can find out more about this addition to our PET portfolio on March 10, 2021, during Pack Passion Week 2021. And we will report on our reorganization and our new business area in the coming weeks, too.
